It is a popular fruit in Bali. The taste is sweet and acidic. Actually I don’t like it very much. Just try it.

I forgot how much per gram d. Not expensive to try out. :)

The taste will become strange.

The taste was good and it was cheap. It cost RP15,000 only. There were 2 selections for the meat ball which was beef and chicken. I choose chicken meat ball. You also can add in egg and rice in the Bakso too.
We change our plan go to Bedugul(Bratan Lake) first before Taman Ayun Temple after get advice from the driver. The entrance fee cost RP10.000. We cancel our plan go to Pacung Mountain resort and botanical garden as the driver told us the entrance fee was expensive and the view also almost same like Bedugul. On the way to Bedugul you can see rice terrace, vegetable farm and green scenery view like Cameron highland in Malaysia.

On the way to Bedugul View

Before we reach Bratan Lake, we stop at the market along the way. You can see a lot of vegetables and local fruits sold there.

Bratan Lake has an altitude of about 1.000 meters, the climate is quite comfortable. On the west bank there is a famous temple complex called Pura Ulun Danu. The temple is half Hindu, half Buddhist and dedicated to Dewi Danu, the water goddess. It was absolutely worth a visit. Lake Bratan is very important as a water supply for rice irrigation on the southern parts of Bali, and the temple is a center for ceremonies all over the island in order to secure a continuous supply from the lake. We reach Bratan Lake ~12pm. I like the Bratan Lake very much as I never see this beautiful scenery in Malaysia. I never see lake in high attitude with surrounding beautiful garden before. We stay there ~ 1 hour. You can fell the nice weather, enjoy the beautiful garden, scenery and flower.

Bratan lake

We have lunch at Pacung View after visit Bratan Lake ~1.30pm. The time is just nice. Not so hot and not too late for lunch. It was a buffet which cost RP168000/person. You can see beautiful rice terrace view at Pacung view but the limited food choice and the food is just so so.

Then, we visited Taman Ayun Temple which entrance fee cost RP6000/person. Tanah Lot had a simple temple in its construction but dramatic in ocean front location and one of the most important temples to be found anywhere in Bali. The temple is built on a small promontory which is only accessible by foot at low tide. Take a scarf and dress with respect when you visited Tanah Lot. The scarf will be provided when you paid the entrance fee which cost RP10.000/person. We could see a lot of tourist clouds there. I recommend you go shopping at Tanah Lot after visited the temple. You will like shopping in Tanah Lot. We went to Kecak Dance/fire dance performance on the eatern side of Uluwatu Temple. The performance started at 6pm before sunset. It cost 6000rupiah/person. The Kecak dance is very simple. The men's chorus chants the words Cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak ke-cak, in rhythm, over and over again, For this reason they are called the Kecak or Cak dance. The Kecak dances consist of about fifty men wearing only a loin-cloth, the upper part of their bodies left bare. They form rows of circles, in the middle of which is a coconut oil lamp. The Kecak dance is performed for dance-dramas and the story presented is take from the Ramayana epic. It cost about 70,000 rupiahs/person.
After rest and shower we went for evening walk at Ubud area and took dinner at Bebek Bengil dirty duck diner. The sunset in Bali was very early. The day was turn dark around 7pm. I love the evening walk in Ubud. Not so hot and not so cold. It was just nice.

I got to know Bebek Bengil Restaurant was famous for their Bebel Bengil Crispy Duck which only in Ubud from online search. We try it out on the 1st day. The place was huge, with an outdoor garden nicely lit to achieve a great ambiance, with lots of running water and flowers. You can sit in traditional booths and make the experience a bit more "local". The walk through the garden towards the various dining rooms was delightful. You can check out the details under http://ubudtebahouse.com/rates/. We book the Superior room(Twin AC Bed) and it cost Rp.200.000.which less than RM80 per day. The rates include the daily simple breakfast and wifi internet access which I think worth for the price for short stay. The breakfast is rotating everyday. I personally like the banana pancake toping with desiccated coconut.
You can took shuttle bus which cost cheaper but you will share with at least more than 6 passengers. Also normally the shuttle bus company have defined the tour destination. I prefer to have private driver and own plan tour destination. Besides i can choose my own lunch/dinner destination along the way. I started search online and ask for driver contact from friend who visited Bali before. Finally i am able to get most cheapest and good condition car from online. I manage to get 350.000rupiah/day with Toyota Kijang/Toyota Avanza for 2 persons. You can find out yourself under http://www.bali-day-trip.com/toyota-car.html . Tour cost includes car with AC, fuel, car parking fee and English speaking driver.Tour excludes meal and entrance fees. No deposit needed, payment can settle in the end of day trip by cash in Rupiah. We visited bali for 5 days 4 nights and we book the private driver for 3 days. We call blue taxi on the rest of the day which use car meter. The price is reasonable. It cost 30.000 rupiah for 2 persons from Kuta Square to airport. Always ask the driver to use car meter except on the airport where prices are fixed.Goayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11817235486572038510noreply@blogger.com0
